Forward Deployed Engineer (Italy)

We are hiring our first Forward Deployed Engineer for the Italian market, a key growing market for us, who will be responsible for managing the onboarding and deployment of our Italian customers on Bonx. The role is based in Paris with ocasionnal travel.

As a Bonx FDE, you'll own the technical deployment of our Italian customers end-to-end: configuring the platform, managing rollouts, and making direct product contributions using agentic coding tools. You sit at the intersection of engineering and customer delivery—not a consultant, not a pure engineer, but something more powerful than both.

Our ambition : Becoming the global leader in industrial ERPs within 5 years. To support this ambitious growth, we are seeking an Deployment Strategist Italy to join our team and scale this exciting new market for us !

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical role. You'll configure the platform and its agents, drive deployments, and write code—using agentic coding tools to move faster than any traditional implementation team could. You're the person who gets things done on-site, in the product, and in the codebase when needed.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Own customer deployments end-to-end. Our target is to fully onboard each customer on an ambitious scope in under 6 months. You make that happen—technically and operationally.

• Configure the platform. You'll be the one in the product, setting up workflows, data models, and integrations for each customer. Speed and precision here directly determine deployment success.

• Make product contributions using agentic coding tools. When a customer need exposes a gap, you don't just file a ticket—you contribute a fix or a feature, using AI-assisted development tools as a force multiplier.

• Support pre-sales. Run demos and technical scopings with Italian prospects. Help close the deals you'll later deploy.

• Help build a scalable deployment machine. Document what works, systematize the repeatable parts, and raise the ceiling of what a small team can deploy.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

• You speak Italian (fluent or native level), fluent in English. French is not mandatory.

• You're already deep into AI, and you're spending at least 30% of your day using it, and you have hands-on experience building AI systems (AI agents with n8n, workflows with AI in the loop, etc.)

• You have 3–6 years of experience in technical implementation, solutions engineering, or software development—with a track record of shipping things and making customers successful.

• You've worked on-site with customers and know how to manage stakeholders, handle pushback, and keep relationships strong under pressure.

• You understand that a scalable product is the endgame—you configure and code with that in mind, not just to close out a ticket.

• You're ok to relocate in Paris (if not already living there) and comfortable traveling to customer sites in Italy

This Role Is Not for You If

• You're not comfortable being the most technical person in the room with a customer—and the most customer-aware person in the codebase.

• You're not obsessed by speed and tangible results. AI is moving faster than we can think of, and taking a manufacturing ERP live in 30 days requires an extreme culture of speed and intensity.

• You have limited AI experience, for instance only using chatgpt occasionally.
